Coolant pipe failure is a common issue in Porsche models equipped with the GT1 block (GT3, GT2, Turbo). The factory pipes, which are bonded with adhesives, are prone to leaks or sudden failure over time. To address this, we offer offers a permanent solution: replacement billet aluminum coolant pipes that are welded in place. These 6061 billet fittings are made from superior materials, allowing for stronger and higher-quality welds compared to the factory parts. Made in USA
We offer 2 types of sets:
- Smooth Ends (Smooth ends are typically used for a shop to weld them in. Proper welding of the fittings requires advanced surface preparation and welding expertise)
- Knurled Ends (These will come with JB Weld and can be installed by a shop or at home of you have the technical knowledge, Proper cleaning of water ports are required. Remember these were glued in from the factory) Coolant repair video from Youtube
We highly recommend purchasing the install tool if you do not have one.
Installation notes: Total of 6 OEM glued fittings There’s 3 on the water pump housing unit the other 3 on the ‘under oil filter’ . The last is on the pathways behind the alternator, this is a 90 degree insert it can be removed as well using heat. but please mark the angle so you know how to put it back in so the hose fits correctly using extra JB weld. Do not use a straight on the 90 degree as the hose will not fit or if you get a long hose will bind.
